ROLF: Blue Ribbon Campaign
– an awareness campaign to bring attention to childhood diseases.
The mission of ROLF Blue Ribbon Campaign is to bring attention to childhood cancer and survivorship issues as well as improve the lives of children suffering from different type of life-threatening diseases.
We kicked start the campaign by organizing ROLF CUP – The International All-Star Charity Soccer Tournament in 2007, an event that helped to create awareness for childhood cancer. 120 celebrities and soccer players from Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia took part in the said event. We also distributed 100,000 units of coin boxes nationwide with campaign slogan “A Coin A Day, Keeps The Cancer Away” hoping general public adopt good habit of donating coins daily to save lives. Members of the public were encouraged to adopt the coin boxes and fill them up within 2 months. On 3rd April 2008, ROLF disbursed the gross collection of RM450,000 evenly to 9 legitimate Foundations. The said donation fund was managed by CIMB Trustee Bhd and audited by KPMG. The money was used to help the less fortunate children in their medical treatment.
Other than above mentioned, ROLF supports and provides aids to children who suffer from different type of life-threatening- diseases in different areas, in terms of funding and medical supplies. ROLF also sponsors free clinics and health screening in rural areas for the children.
